The purpose of the seminar was to provide background information on quasars to science writers and journalists. Welcome and Introductions were made by Ralph Sawyer for the American Institute of Physics, and Philip Morrison chaired the seminar as well as making a presentation. Other speakers included Cyril Hazard, Harlan Smith, H. Chiu, and George Field. Because this is a seminar, voices can be heard throughout the tape in discussions, not only in specific presentations.
